Here's a photo I took today. Can you guess where I am, what it is a photo of, or how I took it? Leave a comment if you want to guess. The winner will receive a personal e-mail from me! :-)

Antarctica! Humpback whale! Um... diving? Haha. That's pretty incredible. Love seeing your adventures!
ReplyDeleteThis photo has been rotated 180 degrees. It is a small hook type object sticking out of the ground that is covered in snow.
ReplyDeleteI was leaning towards whale, too, and space naturally... so this is might a long shot, but I think it's a picture from StarTrek IV:Voyage Home when Kirk and crew save the world (yet again)... yep, so this picture is of the whales descent into the waters on its new home. I'm assuming you're on a distant planet, with an under water camera. Thanks for helping save the world, Brett! Good work and interesting picture.
ReplyDeleteA photo of a photo?
ReplyDeleteThe photo looks like a view under the polar ice looking towards an open water area in which a penguin has just dove into the water. As for how it was taken, I suggest four choices:
ReplyDelete1. Photo of a video monitor located in your cafeteria which displays video from a camera located in the water under the ice;
2. Photo from your new camera in water proof housing as you were scuba diving under the ice;
3. Photo from the McMurdo underwater observatory located on the Ice Pier;
4. Photo of a screen saver on your Mac.
I choose option 4.
Cool, Brett. Love your stuff. Thanks for the daily diversions and insights! Your camera was under water, under the lovely green ice, taking a picture of a nearby whale. Alternatively, I like Craig's option number 1!!! You rascal, in that case! love, mom
